Hiring consultancy Services
Every companies main goal is to make profits. Profits are made by minimizing costs and maximizing revenues. In order to obtain as much profits as possible, companies need to be efficient in the way they do things. As it is in the nature of humans to conflict, companies also experience disputes among its workers. This has a potential of affecting productivity. in order to resolve disputes and maximize efficiency, some companies hire outside consultancy services to resolve internal issues. The hiring of consultancy services comes with its advantages and disadvantages. Therefore companies should avoid hiring consultancy services for minor disputes that can easily be resolved and only hire consultancy services when all other channels have been exhausted.
Companies that resolve problems internally tend to show more harmony. Cooperation of workers is one of the main foundations to having a productive workforce. When problems arise, workers appreciate when the manager or leader takes initiate to resolve the problem. many companies in china today have implemented the everything stays in the house policy. This policy has shown to increase the productivity of the companies. today, china has one of the most successful number of companies.
in addition to this, solving disputes internally is cost effective. Hiring of consultancy services is a very expensive venture. it reduces the companies profit.
However, many successful companies in America and Europe hire consultancy services. Microsoft, at one point the most valuable company in the world, hires experts. The belief is that every field needs an expert to properly do the job. Resolving disputes isn't an exception. An expert is more likely to find perfect solutions to differences. The belief is that most leaders in companies are not trained to solve some problems and the inability to solve the problems may be detrimental to the company.
While most companies have shown preference to hiring experts, history also shows us companies that did not hire consultancy services to resolve their problems, led to their downfall. IBM, the leading company in the early nineteenth century fell apart because of many internal conflicts. The leader was so adamant that he could resolve all the problems faved by the company and wouldn't entertain the idea of hiring experts to assist. The problems only exacerbated and signaled the downfall of a once great company
In conclusion, hiring of experts is recommended in specific circumstances where all other channels have been exhausted. Companies should try to resolve disputes internally, especially trivial issues as this will maintain harmony, increasing efficiency and help keep costs down.
