The diagram illustrates the different stages of development of the life cycle of salmon.
At the beginning of the cycle, eggs lay down on the freshwater or river for almost three months. Later the eggs developed to the alevin stage in which the yolk sac feeds off for several weeks and turned to the fry stage. After five to ten weeks the small salmon developed and started to swim. Within several months, in the parr stage, the finger-shaped markings will develop on the body.
Between one to three years the salmon move on to the sea with groups and may live one to eight years. Moreover, When they spawn adults the death of salmon occurs in two weeks.
