The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The first diagram shows the life cycle of salmon and their growth environment, while the second diagram illustrates the developmental stages of salmon.
We can observe that salmon inhabit three distinct environments, each with varying durations. Additionally, salmon undergo three stages of growth before reaching maturity.
The production process of the environment for salmon eggs begins with a flow diagram. The first stage involves reeds and small stones in the upper river where the eggs are kept for 5 to 6 months. After hatching, the salmon moves to the lower river with fast-flowing water and lives there for around 4 years. Finally, they mature into adult salmon and migrate back to the upper river to lay eggs after spending almost 5 years in the open sea.
Salmon start out as 'fry' measuring 3 to 8 cm in length. They then progress to the 'smolt' stage, where they grow to 12 to 15 cm. Finally, they reach adulthood, measuring 70 to 76 cm in length.
