Overall, while the rate of exports to China underwent a significant increase, the export percentage to Japan experienced a gradual decrease. The other 2 countries' export ratio went through unremarkable changes.
In 1990, the rate of export from Australia to Japan ranked in the first place with roughly 28%. This ratio gradually dropped by 9% to finally reach the number of 19% in 2012. On the other hand, Australia's export percentage to China emerged at the beginning of the surveyed period as the least potential with only 2%. From then on, there had been a slow increase to around 12% before a dramatic jump to almost 30% at the end of the surveyed period.
Starting at the same point as China's, the export rate to India also steadily increased to around 5% in 2012, the same figure as the export percentage to the US, which experienced an overall drop from over 10% in 1990.
