Dear Gowtham,

You already know that our traditional Telugu festival "Sankranthi" is around the corner and it is of high importance in our community. So I'm planning to take time off from the work to spend some family time in my native place.

I am very much aware that my position here plays a crucial role in the aspect of deliverables towards clients. But since the new project we got recently is still in the initial stages of design and also the fact that I didn't had any vacation in last 6 months of my time here, a 7 days off will be acceptable enough.

The pending work will be completed by the new associate whom I have been training for last 4 months. I have already made the necessary arrangements and provided the required guidance regarding the tasks. I understand that he is new but he is good at his work which makes him the right candidate.

And lastly I will be available to attend in case of emergency.
