The reading passage is about the appearance of an old fossil of Tyrannosaurus rex and some research that show some materials which remained of blood vessels, red blood cells and collagen matrix. However, the lecturer rejects these findings and says that these clues are unconvinced.
Firstly, the reading passage says after breaking T.rex leg's bone, the researchers noticed that there were many small branching channels which might be hollow in the bones where blood vessels were there and they referred to soft flexible organic substance into the channels while
the lecturer rebuts this finding and states that long time after dying, bacteria lived in the hollow bones and discovered substance is not related to flexible organic, in all likelihood they belong to bacteria colonies.
Secondly, the reading passage indicates that spheres that include iron-a material are very crucial to red blood cells for carrying oxygen to tissues are found in different parts of inner bones. However, the lecturer explains that a place where T.rex fossil has found, there were also other animals which they did not have any red blood cells. So, the red blood cells maybe belong to other organics.
Finally, the reading passage mentions scientists test on T.rex's leg bone and it proposes that they found collagen that is necessary to bone tissue but unlike the passage, the lecturer says that collagen tissue cannot survive after less time. So it is impossible collagen is found by researchers after 70 million years. The collagen maybe comes from other resources like humans who touch the bones with their hands.
