The first chart below gives information about the money spent by British parents on their children’s sports between 2008 and 2014. The second chart shows the number of children who participated in three sports in Britain over the same time period.
The two line graphs describe the average amount of money spent for children’s sport purposes in United Kingdom per month and how many children took part in three particular sports (football, athletics, swimming) from 2008 to 2014. Overall, both the mount of money spent and the number of participants increased throughout the period.
As can be seen from the first picture, the average money, that parents had to pay for their children’s sports, stood at exact 20 pounds in 2008. And then, that figure grew gradually by approximately 12,5 pounds to reach over 30 pounds in the year of the period.
Turning to the second picture, the number of children, who participated in football, remained the highest figure over the period. additionally, there were a similar trend between football and swimming; these rose stably from almost 2,5 and about 8 millions to around 4 and nearly 9 millions, respectively. Moreover, the number of athletic participants jumped dramatically by slightly under 5 millions and over took swimming at around 2,5 millions in 2011.
