The depicted bar chart represents the number of male/female students studying in marketing, accounting, finance, economics, engineering and mathematics at US university in the year of 2000.
In general, finance belonged to the most popular subject among both sexes in 2010, while the opposite was true for the engineering. Besides, there was a biggest difference in the number of males and females enrolling in mathematics
As can be seen from the chart, the data on finance experienced an equal with approximately 230 students each gender. In the marketing and accounting, the dominance of woman when comparing with men were about 50 students and 30 students, respectively.
studying mathematics became the second most popular among men with 200 students, whereas woman did arround 140 students students less then their males counterparts. The difference of male was more prevailing in economics subject, where more 70 men students chose this subject as a major, almost doubling that for female economic student. Only about 50 students each gender studied engineering.
