We learn our most valuable lessons in life from struggling with our limitations rather than from enjoying our successes.
Human life is full of uncertainty. People can not predict what will happen in the future so they have to be ready to face unwanted situation, for that, experience and harbinger is required. I agree with the statement because person can learn many vital lessons in their bad time.
To begin with,Good and bad situations can not controlled by human so it is required to develop such a skill which can help to survive in those situations. People learn most of the things in the worst conditions because those condition force to think something different and unique. Person get excellent idea when they are in a critical situation. For example some company X is ruling the market and no other competitors are in the market. If some new company Y come up with same product and less rate at that time it is difficult to survive in that market so company X try to make new very efficient and good quality products.
Secondly, struggling will teach many essential things which will be helpful in the future. There are many people who pretend to care about a person but that is not true in all cases. In every society many sycophantic people who are not trustworthy. For example If some person loss in their business at that time many people leave him and it may be possible that some friends to help him. At that time we can figure out who are actually care about you and who not. This type of lesson help in future to decide loyal people.
Moreover, easy life might check logical ability and reasoning ability. Despite that is not true in all but easy life have other consequences like someone not think out of the box and other development. For example if someone found that there are three ways and he starts to walk on first road, after a few kilometers he found that road is closed. Then he will choose second road and continue his journey. There are students who got superfluous amount of educational material and devices, out of them very few students use resources in proper way. Other students use profligate resources and waste their parents money. If they get resources in limited then they try to use them effectively, this will help them in future to take imperative decision in their job or business or startup.
To epitomize, critical situation is required in every human life which help to develop several hidden skills. One thing which should be remembered by every human is that face every situation positively and learn from every incident.
