The following chart show the results of a British survey taken in 2009 related to housing preferences of UK people.
The given chart indicates the figure for housing inclinations of British respondents from three cities in 2009. As illustrated by the chart, whereas the majority of Liverpool dwellers opted for living in apartments, individuals coming from the remaining cities had a tendency to select semi-detached houses. Also of note is that terraced houses held the least attraction among the survey participants.
It is evident that semi-detached houses captured the attention of the majority of inhabitants from London and Manchester, with the same percentage 37%. Nevertheless, the figure for London residents choosing apartments stood at 29% which was roughly 10% higher than that of Manchester, compared to the opposite pattern witnessed in detached houses, with 25% and 34% for London and Manchester respectively. Meanwhile, the lowest proportions, both under 20%, were represented for inhabitants in London and Manchester taking their interest in terraced houses.
In stark contrast, Liverpool saw the highest percentage of its dwellers regarding apartments as their accommodation options (approximately 58%). However, fewer inhabitants in Liverpool showed their preferences for semi-detached houses as well as detached houses, with around 18% and 15% respectively. Under 10% of Liverpool respondents said that their choices of living would be terraced houses.
