You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour.
Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter
• introduce yourself
• describe your plans for the party
• invite your neighbour to come
Hello John,
I just wanted to write a quick letter to tell you about my birthday party, which will be holding within the neighborhood come next Tuesday.
I’m your new tall and dark neighbor on flat 3 opposite your back door entrance. You actually helped me move my belongings when the haulage company brought them in my absence. If you can remember, we both popped a champagne under the orange tree to celebrate my arrival into the neighbourhood.
I’d be marking my 30th birthday on Tuesday with some of my colleagues and old friends in attendance. It’d be a mini party with not more than 20 invitees and it’s between 6pm and 10pm. I’m sure you’d be back from work by then. There’d be lots of food and alcoholic drink which you love so much; with cool music from Davido, the reigning Nigerian artist.
You’re invited to celebrate with me and I’d be highly excited to mark this special day with my first and wonderful neighbor. You can come along with your fiancée and little cousin because I’ve made provision for the children’s corner.
Can’t wait to see you then.
Regards,
Azuka.
