The line graph below describes the percentage of acid rains in the UK which is caused by four different reasons from 1991 to 2007.
Overall, the number of acid rains is released the most by Electricity, gas and water supply then it replaced by Transport and communication at the end. However, there is a decline in acid rains emissions which made by four reasons.
The proportion of acid rains emissions was created by Electricity, gas, and water supply which held the highest position in 1991 nearly 3.5% then followed by Other industries, Transport, and communication and Domestic respectively at 2.1 %, 0.7%, and 0.6%. In addition, the UK Electricity, gas, and water supply witnessed a notable change which decreased significantly to 0.5% in 2007. Moreover, there was a slight fall in the percentage of acid rains emissions by Other industries to 1.2% in 2007. Furthermore, the acid rains emissions in Domestic has fallen gradually in the next 15 years at 0.1%.
On the other hand, Transport and communication created acid rains emissions which showed a short increase to 1% then decreased a bit at 0.6% in the last year.
