A narrative essay about the gift that is meaningful to me
Gifts are things that express someone’s love for us, so I always treasure all the gifts people gave me. For me, I have never forgotten an exceptional present that my parents prepared for me in the summer of 2015. That is an electric bicycle.
When I was in grade 8, I had to transfer to a new school, and in this place, I found that all my friends had a vehicle for themselves. But my parents always took me to school every day because they worried that I was lost, and I really did not like that. My father probably understood my sadness, so when I finished my high school examination and was on vacation, he secretly bought me an electric bicycle. Honestly, I was so surprised and happy with his present. At the moment I received it, I shouted with all my joy and hugged my dad tightly.
The electric bicycle was also the type of vehicle that I dreamed of. At that time, that bike was the most modern and lasted, so my dad had to spend a lot of money to buy it. Its body was covered in brown, looked so charmed and elegant. Beside pedals, the electric bicycle was also designed a place to put my feet on whenever tired. Because the bicycle was run by electricity, I felt like I did a good thing for the environment. My dad’s present was so useful for me in 3 years of high school. It helped me a lot in moving. Thanks to that bike, I could easily go to school as well as attend the extra classes to prepare better for the approaching national high school exam.
The electric bike is not only simply a gift but also the love and sympathy my dad and mom gave me. It accompanied me throughout high school. It is like a motivation for me to remember my parents' love and try to study harder day by day. Although I have a new motorbike now, the electric bicycle is still the most meaningful gift I have ever had.
