The chart below gives information about levels of education by age range in the UK in 2010.
The provided bar chart highlights data concerning education levels by five age groups (16-24, 24-35, 35-50, 50-75, 75+) in the United Kingdom during 2010.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that a university degree was the major education level for individuals from 16 to 75 years old in 2010. Another fascinating point is that most of the elderly who were over 75 years old had no qualifications during the same period.
Looking at the graph, it is clear that the proportion of 16-24 years old people who have a university degree in 2010 was 71%, compared to the elderly who were 75+ years old was contributed to only 25% in the same education level. The figure for individuals who had no qualifications in the age group 16-24 was only 9%, whereas the elderly (75+ years old) had a total of 72% of people who did not have any degrees. The percentage of people in the age group 16-24 who have a school certificate was 20%, which is the same as people in 35-50 and 50-75 age groups. By contrast, the age group over 75 years old had only 3% of the old who have a school certificate.
The figure for people from 50 to 75 years old who have no qualifications was 30%. In contrast, the age group 24-35 had only 9% of people who do not have any certificates which is the same amount as the 16-24 and 35-50 age groups. The percentage of individuals who have a university degree in two age groups (50-75 and 24-35) were 50% and 76% respectively. The amount of proportion of 35-50 years old in all three education levels was the same as people who are 16-24 years old in the year 2010.
