The bar chart provides information about the percentage of four different types of volunteers, who took a part in New Zealand’s sports organizations in 2010, based on their household types. The pie chart indicates information about five main roles, of which those volunteers were in charge.
Overall, no correlation was shown in the two charts. Volunteer, who is couple with dependent children, was a major part of these events. A large proportion of volunteers played as a coach, instructor or teacher, meanwhile, medical support and other role were the lowest in number.
It is noticeable that about half of the volunteers were couples with at least one young kid, while those whose children were not dependent on them took part to roughly 26,9% out of all volunteers. In contrast, lone people had the lowest figure with just one-fifth the number of the couple with dependent child group. The Other household was slightly higher than those single parents, with 12.4%.
Regarding the table chart, the role with the highest number of volunteers was coach, instructor or teacher, with 206,000 people, which was almost double for referee and umpire jobs. The Committee member or administrator was the second-highest and came after it was scorer or timekeeper, with 158,600 and 128,000 people respectively. Finally, with 62,700 volunteers, medical support and other roles were the lowest in number, approximately four times smaller than the coach or teacher role.
