Overall, Food/ Drinks/ Tobacco took the most money spent, while clothing/ footwear being a second and leisure/ education made up the least.
Regarding food/ drinks/ tobacco, Turkey’s citizens spent most of their income on it, making up nearly one-third of their spending, with Ireland being a close second, standing at 28.91 percent. Swedish spent the least amount of money on this category with roughly a half of that of Turkey. Not so far from Swedish were people in Spain and Italy, accounting for 18.80 and 16.36 percent respectively.
In terms of less spent categories, clothing/ footwear was the most attractive to Italian, making them spend 9 percent of their revenue on this, whereas this was the least attractive to Swedish. This was followed by consumers’ expenditure in Turkey, Spain, and Ireland with generally equal figures (6.63%, 6.51%, and 6.43% respectively). Turning to leisure/ education, Turkey one more time took first place, with Italy and Sweden being close behind. With a figure of approximately half of Turkey’s, the Spanish spent the least money on this section.
