The diagram indicates the functioning of solar panels and how such panels can be used to generate electricity for household purposes.
Overall, It can be seen that the panel can be used for three different purposes such as electricity, hot air, and warm water.
First of all, the panel consists of a metal box with two openings for the inlet and outlet and clear glass on top of it. For hot air, the panel is placed in an open place and cool air is allowed to enter through the inlet. At the same time, the air inside the box starts heating as the rays of the sun are converted into heat energy. In the end, warm air is ejected from the outlet and the process goes on.
Secondly, converting cool water into hot shares the same concept with little modifications. The metal box and clear glass remain as it is; whereas, the addition is water pipe inside the panel connecting the inward and outward openings. When cold water penetrates inside the panel, the heat developed by the sun is used to make it worm and from the other side hot water is released.
