the following chart shows the results of a British survey taken in 2009 related to Housing preferences of Uk people
The bar chart illustrates the housing preferences among the people who lived in Liverpool, London, and Manchester in 2009.
It is clear that living in an apartment was the most important choice among Liverpool residents, while people living in London and Manchester had a tendency towards semi-detached houses. In contrast, the lowest figure belonged to terraced houses in all cities.
Nearly 60% of Liverpool’s citizens chose apartments as a place to live, which approximately tripled in Manchester, at 20%. On the other hand, the percentages of people living in detached houses and semi-detached houses in Liverpool had the opposite tendency to apartments, which were around 15% and 20% respectively. These figures for Manchester were doubled for Liverpool. Terraced houses were the least popular housing option in both cities at 10% and around 12%.
Regarding the survey result in London, well over a third of the preferences went for semi-detached houses. This was followed by nearly 30% and 25% of citizens choosing apartments and detached houses respectively. On the contrary, the figure for terraced houses was lower, with slightly less than 20% of survey participants selecting them.
