The given charts provide information about new graduate and their job in 4 different types of employment in the UK between 1992 and 2002. Overall, it can be obviously seen that, from 1992 to 1997, the number of new graduates increased significantly but felt down suddenly in 2002. Professional was the highest chosen job compared to others job. Conversely, employee for sales was the lowest.
In 1992, the quantity of new graduate stood at 165.000. By 5 years period, new graduate number inclined to 195.000 in 1997 dramatically. It was in 2002 that the number of new graduates declined to 180.000.
The figure for professional in 1992, 1997 and 2002 was 59%, 45% and 40% respectively, and it was the highest employment which was chosen by new graduates. Secondly, the figure for management & administrative in 1992 was 20%, and it was similar in 1997 and 2002, around 17%. In the sequel, it was Followed by clerical & secretarical and other employment. It can be seen that sales had small number of new graduates from 1992 to 2002, around 5% to 10%, leading to the lowest employment chosen by new graduate.
