The diagram below describes the nitrogen cycle.
The picture illustrates the cycle of nitrogen, a crucial element to the earth.
Overall, there are two main stages of the cycle, where nitrogen is diverted into two types of condition: gaseous nitrogen and nitrate. The beginning step is to fixate while the last step is denitrification into gas.
Gaseous nitrogen, in the first stage, is firstly fixated by plants into ammonium. Then, it is later converted nitrite before officially transforming into nitrate. After turning into nitrate, it is separated into two types: the first type is to transform the nitrate into grass as protein supplies for animals and until the animals die, the dead bodies return to the nitrate form again. The other type is to denitrify nitrate intro gaseous nitrogen again.
In other stage, gaseous nitrogen goes through a process of fixation by lightning to change into nitrate. After that, nitrate might, similarly, turn to grass and go through the repeated cycle or be transformed to gas.
