The given line graph displays the visitor numbers on a specific Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, the number of visitors saw a dramatic growth in total. In addition, while in the beginning, tourists preferred staying on island, the reverse can be seen at the end of the recorded period.
The total number of arrivals on the island increased almost every year of the specified period. In 2010, there were only 1 million visitors, which strikingly increased to approximately 2.7 in 2015. Before the tourist numbers jumped to 3.5 in 2017, it witnessed a plateau from 2015 to 2016.
The number of tourists who stayed on the island stood at about 0.75 million in 2010 and 2011. It consistently rose to 1.5 million before remaining at this level from 2013 to 2017, except for a marginal dip in 2016.
In comparison, there were fewer visitors staying on cruise ships in 2010. The figures registered some fluctuations in the first 2 years, after which progressively grew, outnumbering the number of those staying on the island in 2016 and reaching 2 million in 2017.
