The following graph illustrates how much oil was produced every day by 4 distinct nations in a period of 5 years between 2000 and 2004.
Overall, there was an increase in the amount of oil produced by Nigeria, Chad and Somalia while the figure for Congo witnessed a significant decrease. Although Nigeria did not have the highest figure throughout the period, it surpassed Congo to reach the top at the final year (2004).
The amount of oil production of Congo started at 275,000 barrels per day (BPD), after which it significantly dropped to 203,000 BPD at the end of the period. However, opposite change can be seen in the figure for Nigeria, which rose from 205,000 BPD to 213,000 BDP and surpassed Congo to reach the top at the final year mentioned.
5,000 BPD were produced by Somalia, with a subsequent ten-time increase to 50,000 BPD in 2004. In the meantime, the figure for Chad was at 0 BPD followed by a dramatic incline to reach the same figure for Somalia at the end of the period.
