The illustrations below show how coffee is sometimes produced. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and making comparisons where relevant.
The given diagram demonstrates the procedure for manufacturing coffee. Overall, the process is called the dry method of coffee production and consists of 12 phases, starting with the sorting of the coffee beans manually and ending with the packaging and selling of the coffee to the market.
Initially, after being harvested and gathered together, coffee beans are sorted by hand skillfully and they are then cleaned and dried under the sun for four weeks. Following this, in the fourth step, farmers rake and turn these beans to ensure that they are completely dry. Subsequently, farmers store the dried beans in silos before it is transferred to the mill for hulling purposes in the sixth step.
Moving on to the next stage, at the mill, the coffee beans are graded in order to collect well-qualified ones, followed by packaging them into bags and being ready for the next purpose. After this step, the crushed beans are generally sold to the markets or single sellers, where they are roasted in the machine to the appropriate temperature, packed, and allocated to the coffee shops or directly to the consumers.
