Essay topics:

The line graph shows the population size, birth rate an death rate of England and Wales from 1700 to 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant

he line graph provides how the data about number of population and the rate of birth and death in two different countries, England and Wales changed over 300 years, starting in 1700.
Overall, it can be seen that the size of the population and the rate of birth in england and wales increased but the death rate decreased. Further, the number of population in millions is consistently highest over the period.
Looking at the data set that grew in more detail it is clear that the scale of population in England and Wales stood at about 2.5 million in 1700. By 1750, it escalated to 10 million and dramatically jumped to 50 million in 2000 which was the top value of the chart. The rate of change of birth also showed similar trends, rising from 30 per 1000 people in 1700 to 33 in 2000.
Turning the data set that was came down it is evident that the rate of death per 1000 people was 27 in 1700. It rose to 37 in 1750 but dropped to 20 in 1950 and remained the same till the end of the period. This was the greatest decrease among all three types of data in England and Wales.
