The line graph depicts the number of average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in four countries from 1967 to 2007.
The initial impression is that throughout this period Italy and Portugal have an upward trend totally and Sweden and the United Kingdom have a downward trend. By 1967 the lowest metric tonnes of CO2 emissions related to Portugal.
As can be seen, there was an increase in Portugal to around 4.5 metric tonnes until 1997 and then had a plateau trend till 2007. Italy rose about 2 metric tonnes from 1967 to 1977 and rose gradually 20 years under 8 metric tonnes and to 2007 did not change anymore. Although Sweden totally decreased approximately to 5.8 tonnes first sugar 2 tonnes in 1997 and then dropped suddenly from 11 to 5.8 in 2007. Among all countries, the United Kingdom did not a significant change and crashed slightly during these years to nearly 9 tonnes.
In conclusion, Although the United Kingdom has a downward trend the average CO2 emission in this country was more than others and Portugal located in the last place.
