The Charts show the main methods of transport of people travelling to one university in 2004 and 2009
The bars indicates the important ways of using means of transport for individuals traveling to one university over the period of 5 years, commencing from 2004.
Overall, it is clear that there were upward trends in the proportion of taking bus, bicycle,and train, while the percentage of cars and walking for traveling exhibited a downward trend over the period. It is noticeable that traveling by bus was the most popular method during the period.
In 2004, the percentage of car used for traveling stood at 51 percent, making it the highest figure among these other ways. Moreover, the proportion of car used was greater than bicycles, with exactly 33 compared to 9 percent. Finally, the percentages of car and walking was used by individuals whose figure fell within a range from 3 to 4 percent during that time.
Afterwards, the figure for bus usage for traveling experienced a substantial increase at about 46 percent, making it the highest ranking of individual preference. The percentage of commuting by car was twice as much as of bicycles , with respective figures being exactly 28 and 16 percent. Furthermore, the proportions of walking and cars increased slightly, with 4 and 6 percent to the end of the period.
