The given bar chart demonstrates the daily average hours committed to recreational and sports activities by the junior and senior groups in America during the year 2015.
Overall, watching TV interested both age groups the most, and the figure of the second group was twice as much as the first one. Physical and leisure activities, on the other hand, received the least attention.
In terms of the first 3 activities, watching TV is the top chosen by the two groups, with 2.2 and 4.4 hours per day for the juniors and seniors respectively. Reading is insignificant among the young, with the figure about one fifth of that for the old. The same pattern is obvious in relaxing and thinking, with the 5-time-higher figure for the old compared to that for the young.
As regards the last 3 activities, the amount of time for social interaction and communication is comparatively equal, at over 0.5 hour a day. The time quantity of computer used to play games and relaxation among the youngsters is twice as much as that among the seniors. Sports, workout and recreation appealed more to the youth, with the three-folded figure in comparison to that for the aged.
