The bar chart illustrates the number of people in the UK eating more than 5 portions of vegetables and fish per day.
The change in the British consuming over five portions in vegetables and fish in one day from 2011 to 2017 is displayed in the bar chart, shown in percentage.
Overall, eating vegetables and fish was the most popular in females. Additionally, all figures showed an upward trend, with some changes.
Initially, daily consumption of vegetables and fish in women accounted for a fifth, being higher than it in men, with a gap of around 2.5%, while the children consuming those meals were the lowest at one in ten. Furthermore, the whole figures would fluctuate, but these had a tendency to increase significantly.
Eventually, although the rate of females daily eating more than five portions of fish and vegetables peaked at over a third in 2016, it decreased to 30%, but this was still the highest figure. Meanwhile, a dramatic growth was experienced also by that of males’ daily consumption of these meals at approximately a quarter. When it came to kids, even though the proportion of them grew moderately, it remained the smallest, with the rate as same as that of women in the initial period.
