The bar chart shows the divorce rates in two European countries from 2011 to 2015
The bar chart gives information about changes in the percentages of divorce in both Finland and Sweden during the five-year period between 2011 and 2015.
Overall, there were general upward trends in the divorce rate of Finland, whereas Sweden experienced a reverse pattern. It is also clear that getting divorced in Finland was higher than in Sweden, except for the final year of the given period.
In 2011, divorce cases in Finland accounted for over 35% which was lower than that of Sweden, at around 43%. Afterwards, the proportion of divorce in Finland decreased slightly by approximately 3% in the following year before rising noticeably to just over 40% two years later and remaining stable until 2015.
Over the same period, the figure for the other European country showed a steady growth to reach its peak of nearly a half in 2012, followed by a continual fall in its figure, to roughly 37% in 2015.
