The chart shows the trend of households owning and renting accommodation in England over 94 year from 1918 to 2011.
It is noticeable that during 1918 to 2001the households lived by owner is decreasing. But the the households for rented was increasing. In 1971 two trend meet their crossing point. However, in 2011, the latest record in the chart shows the opposite trend, as well as a slightly increasing for rented accommodation and a little decreasing in owned accommodation.
In 1918, the proportion that People live their own house account 80%, which is a pretty high number. But It decreased year by year, eventually become 50 % in1971. At the same point, People rented their house hold also meeting 50%. And showed a climbing trend until 2001.
A continuous trend over 83 years had change in 2011, compared with last decade people who rent house met a slightly increased. When people owned their houses decreased.
