Essay topics:

The chart below shows waste collection by a recycling centre from 2011 to 2015.

The given bar graph illustrates the amount of waste collected by a recycling centre over the course of 5 consecutive years, starting in 2011.

As can be seen from the graph, it is clearly evident that the total amount of all 4 types of recyclable waste collected increased over the time frame. Additionally, despite some fluctuations, the amount of paper collection was by far the highest among other types of waste collection.

In 2011, paper was the most collected waste, at just under 57 tons, followed by 48 tons of glass were collected. At the same time, the figures for waste collection for tins and garden were 35 and 32 tons respectively. The next year has shown the same trend in which the highest figure belonged to paper (50 tons), followed by glass (41 tons), tins (27 tons) and paper (15 tons).

From that time onwards, the amount of paper waste collection dramatically went up to reach a hight of 70 tons in the last year despite a modest drop in the middle-years. Meanwhile, glass was also marked up around 52 tons at the end of the observed period, which is the second-highest among other types of recyclable waste. The figures for tin and garden were similar at roughly 39 and 35 tons in 2015.
