The line graph compares the proportion of people who passed their driving tests every 10 year from 1980 to 2010 in an anonymous Asian country. The figures are divided by two genders: male and female.
At first glance, more women succeeded in getting driving licenses than men in every surveyed year. The year 2000 witnessed the highest percentage of newly-passed drivers.
The proportion in women category first stated at under fifty percent, then increased slightly of 5% ten years later, and experienced a remarkable rise until reaching its peak at nearly 70% in 2000. However, the percentage dropped slightly to 65% in the ending year.
The figures for men who passed their driving test was relatively low at under one third in 1980s. In two following decades 1990s and 2000s, the category experienced an upward trend to over 35%, and nearly 50%, respectively. The percentage remained unchanged for the next ten years.
