From an overall perspective, this nation started relying on more natural and renewable resources rather be than nonrenewable ones, such as oil and other nuclear sources. We can also notice the proportion of hydropower hadn’t changed in both years.
Starting with 1985, well over half if the energy produced came from oil accounting for 52 per cent. Next come natural gas and Nuclear power energy resources with a difference of one 9% between their figures. However, coal, hydropower and other renewable resources created a small minority of energy production with figures of 8%, 4% and 1% respectively.
By 2003, the proportions for eco-friendly and environment preserving sources rose considerably by an average of 10%. Furthermore, natural gas accounted of the energy, while the percentage of coal was 22%. Both hydro energy and renewable resources stood at 4%, as the figure for renewable resources slightly increased by 3% compared to 1985. On the other hand, the usage of oil in order to produce power significantly dropped to only 39%. Some went for Nuclear resources, showing a sharp decrease of 14%.
