Overall, hydro power and fossil fuel were the two sources for electricity generation in all recorded countries while only two countries, India and Sweden, produced electricity from nuclear power.
The chart shows that India and Sweden had a totally reverse trend in their electricity sources. Regarding the former, fossil fuel had the prominent popularity for electricity production, accounting for over 80%. Meanwhile, only 28% remained for hydro and nuclear power, with 14% and 4% respectively. On the other hand, these were the major sources used in Sweden, consisting of well more than half for the former and over 40% for the former. An only minimal percentage was for the remaining category.
Morocco and Vietnam generated electricity from two main sources, fossil fuel, and hydropower. While there was an overwhelming majority of hydroelectricity (95%) in Morocco, that for Vietnam came second to fossil fuel, with 44%. The same pattern can also be seen in the fossil fuel’s figures, with only 5% for Morocco and 56% for Vietnam.
