The diagrams below show the changes that have taken place at West park Secondary School since its construction in 1950.
The three diagrams of West park Secondary School at three different years, 1950, 1980 and 2010 shows the changes that have occured in the map of the school in these sixty years.
It can be observed that the place for houses in 1950 was replaced by a car park and a Science block in 1980. The Farmland in 1950 was converted to Sports field while the main building of the school and playground remained same in these thirty years. Later, the size of the car park was increased from 1980 to 2010, covering the area of Sports field. While the sports and playground was adjusted in the same area that was just allocated to playground in 1980. Science block and main building of the school remained same.
The major change that can be observed from these diagrams is in the car park, which didn't existed in 1950 but became the largest in occupying the space in 2010. While no change in school's building and the main road can be observed in the span of these sixty years.
