The provided line graph illustrates the trends of six different fuel consumption in USA over 50 year period.
Overall, Petrol and Oil as well as Coal and Natural Gas had gradual increase and will continue to grow in a similar pace for except Natural Gas. Other fuel on the other hand, had minimal difference.
Initially, petrol and oil started at 35 quadrillion which in the next five year dropped to just above 30, and again rose to the nearby unit as earlier. It then had fluctuation but in an upward trend and is expected to reach around 50 Quadrillion unit in 2030.
Natural Gas occupied 20 Quadrillion Unit in 1980 which fell slightly and will continue to fluctuate upward to around 25 Quadrillion unit till 2015, after which it will remain constant. Coal on the other hand was 4 quadrillion unit below Natural Gas and will have similar pattern of fluctuation exceeding Quadrillion Unit in 2030.
Nuclear, Solar/Wind, Hydropower all started approximately at 4 Quadrillion unit which rose slightly for around seven years. The first two will have mere up shift after few fluctuations, whereas hydropower will remain constant from the year 2012.
