The given line graph illustrates change throughout the 12 months in costs of the three metals during the year 2014.
Overall, the prices for zinc increased, and those for the other two substances decreased. It is also noticeable that Zinc was the metal which stood at the top level, and Nickel the bottom level in the final month although the opposite was true during the first month.
From January to June, all of the three metal saw a sharp drop. Nickel began at 6%, being in the top position and fell dramatically to -3% in June. Copper started with a figure which was one-third of that for Nickel and fell steadily to below 0 in the end. Zinc was at the bottom, precisely at 1% in the beginning and decreased stably by 2% in the final month.
For the rest of the year, there were some changes in the three metals. Nickel rose by 2% in July and remained unchanged during 3 months later before falling slightly and rose to 1% in the end, standing in the last position. Zinc also has a similar pattern, growing minimally, staying the same for 3 months, going down to -1% and finally surged to 2%, being at the top level. The similar pattern also came to Copper when it was higher than the remaining two metals between June and October, and eventually it increased to around 1.5%, being ranked second.
