While there was a gradual rise in the consumption of Chicken to finish the term at approximately 249 grams, making it the most popular food in 2004. On the other hand, Fish experienced an opposite trend, declining steadily year on year to about 48 grams in the end of the term, making it the least preferred food.
With respect to Beef and Lamb, there were similar trends for both foods. 1979 to 1982 witnessed a sharp fall from 230 grams to 180 grams for Beef. Likewise, there was a rapid fall to 120 grams from 150 grams for the similar years in the consumption of Lamb. Having hit a peak in 1983, similarly, Beef followed a similar downward trend as the Lamb, but finished at 100 in 2004, almost two times higher than the lamb.
