The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line graph illustrates the quantity of questions which the Tourist Information Office collected either face-to-face or by other means of communication namely mails and phone calls in a particular city from January to June in 2011. Overall, the enquiries sent by mails showed a relatively small degree of decline; meanwhile, the number of queries asked directly and by telephone increased dramatically over the course of 6 months.
Starting with approximately 800 enquiries in January, the statistics for mailing method slightly declined in the next month then levelled off before it fell rapidly until May and remained constant at under 400 mails.
However, the number of enquiries sent in person with the lowest starting point, at just over 400 enquiries, tended to soar rapidly and continuously and reached its peak of roughly 1900 enquiries in June. Despite the main tendency to rise, the figure for telephone experienced many fluctuations until it peaked 1600 phone calls at the end of the period.
