The graph shows the percentage of visiting the cinema once a month or more between 1984 to 2000 (4 age groups). Summarise the information and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph illustrates the share of people in each age group who went to the movies at least once a month from 1984 to 2003. Overall, all age groups showed similar trends throughout the period, starting with an initial decline over the first 10 years, followed by an increase in intensity over the next 10 years, after which most groups decline slightly again over the next 10-year period. In addition, the 14-24 year old group always goes to the movies the most, during which time it is the opposite of those aged 50 and over.
In the first year, the youngest group (14-24) has the highest-grade attainment rate, at 92%, which then gradually declines to 88% after 10 years. The next ten years saw this number increase again and reach 90% in 1998, then began to gradually decrease. Ages 25-34 Reflect this trend, starting at 80% in 1978 before falling to a low of 60% ten years later and then recovering to just under 80% at the end This.
By contrast, 60% of people aged 35-49 went to the cinema at least once a month in 1978. This figure then dropped to nearly 50% in 1988, before rising again to 70%. in 1998. A similar upward trend was found among people over 50, with figures starting at 40% and falling to the low 30% range a decade later, followed by a significant increase and end at 50%.
