The line graph illustrates the amount of money (millions of USD) was allocated in four different sectors including company shares, fine art, gold, and property during the period between 1988 and 2014.
Overall, all four categories experienced an upward trend in funds received from investment during the whole period. Investment funds in gold, noticeably, increased more significantly compared to others.
In 1988, the investment fund for fine art was roughly 80 million dollars, while that for gold was a hundred. In the next 18 years, there was a fluctuation in money received by the fine art category before this group experienced a dramatic increase to approximately 350 million at the end of the period. The same pattern can be observed in gold investment. However, the main difference is that in 2012, gold became the most invested asset as this sector reached 400 dollars before dropping to 325 million USD in 2014.
Regarding company shares and property, both categories shared almost the same trend from 1988 to 1994, increasing from 50 to around 70 million. Nevertheless, since then, while the allocation of financial funds applied for enterprise shares increased to 250 million in 2014, that for property fluctuated slightly before reaching 190 million dollars at the end of the period.
