Living in a country where you have to speak in a foreign language can cause serious social problems as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is said that people who can not speak the language in the country they live in have to face a number of difficulties. Personally, I agree with this opinion to some extent and my reasons will be presented as follows.
I do not deny the fact that people who come to other countries can still live comfortably despite the inability to use the languages there. Firstly, if they have a good command of English, they can still converse and build social relationships with the native people due to English being a universal language. Otherwise, just by using automatic translation software on their devices, foreigners can communicate and ask others for help. In some cases, those who are wealthy enough can even afford to hire professional translators and pay the locals to help them resolve any arising problem.
However, I think that difficulties that result from using a foreign language in a country are still inevitable. This can be explained by the fact that even with automatic translating programs, language barriers still exist. These would deter communication between foreigners and local people and hence make it difficult for them to engage in social activities together. In worse cases, due to the inability to use the language of the country they live in, foreigners are likely to be taken advantage by indecent people. To illustrate, there are a number of visitors to Vietnam that have been deceived by local sellers to buy low-quality products at a high price.
In conclusion, though in some cases, people can still a life of comfortableness in other countries, it is impossible to avoid social and practical problems caused by their inability to use the languages there.
