The given graph illustrates some reasons underlined behind the decision of choosing to become a student in one university located in UK in two inspected years: 1887 and 2007 .
Overall, it can be easily seen that the reason of suitable degree courses accounted for the largest proportion in both mentioned years.
To be specific, in 1987, 35% of surveyed students had the tendency to study at the UK university due to suitable degree course, then the percentage of students with the same reason increased by 2% in 20 years later. Quality of resources was the main reason achieving the second ranking in 1987 with 21% according to the respondents, while in 2007 the second position was true for the case of close to parental with 22%.
For the first mentioned year, the least reason chosen by the students for their university decision was close to parental with just 10%, while quality of teaching and quality of resource were received more than 5%, 9% of students’ vote, respectively. In contrast, just 6% of students chose quality of resources, which was 2% lower than quality of teaching and three times lower than close to parental, achieving the lowest percentage in 2007.
