The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.

Units of electricity production by fuel source Australia and France in 1980 and 2000 are displayed by a chart.

In the first chart in 1980, it is obvious that natural gas and coal have the largest percentage by nearly a quarter for both of them. Oil comes in the second stage by nearly a third. Hydro power and nuclear power have the minimum percentages by 5% and 15% respectively.

In 2000, Australia and France started to depend on nuclear power majorily. Percentages of nuclear power jumped up to 126%. While they kept the percentage of coal constant by nearly a quarter. Moreover, percentage of using oil jumped a little to become nearly a quarter. However, the usage of natural gas and hydro power minimized to become 2% the least percentage in the chart.

Overall, it seems that Australia and France started to use nuclear energy in 2000 more than in 1980. However, they reduced the usage natural gas and hydro power. They also increased the percentage of usage of oil.
