The table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed.

The provided pie charts elucidate the proportions of budgets of a police office in one British area over a two-year period from 2017, categorizing salaries, technology and facilities. The accompanying table shows the income sources during the surveyed period. Overall, it is clear that payment for officers and staff accounted for the majority of the budget proportion, additionally, the national government was the main source in the income for that police office.
According to the pie charts, officers and staff salaries significantly dominated over the other two sections in both 2017 and 2018, accounting for around three fourth of the total budget, with 75 percent and 69 percent respectively. Additionally, while buildings and transport perspectives remained the same proportion of 17 percent in both two years surveyed, there was a slight increase in the technology investment of the police office in an area in Britain, rising from 8 percent in 2017 to 14 percent in the following year.
The table witnessed that there was the largest contribution to the police budget, which the national government gave nearly half of the total income in those surveyed years, with 175.5m and 177.8m respectively. Otherwise, the income from local taxes experienced a significant increase of approximately 10 million, from 91.2 million to 102.3 million, while the other sources raised solely around 2 million.
