The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given statistical table shows the number of factories in England and Wales and number of employees worked during the period 1851 to 1901. This table also distinguish between the male and female employees worked.
It is evident that number of factories existed in 1851 were far less than that of in the period of 1901. It can be clearly analyzed that as the number of the factories increased from 225 to 600 in 1901, but there is a straight diminishing trend in the number of employees working in the factory starting from 477,100 to only 61,000 only; Which indicates an obvious reason o factories using automatic machines replacing manual work.
There can be seen a drastic raise in 1871 as factories number increased from 227 to 622 in a single decade only which depicts a significant revolution in the industry.
Another important analysis that can derived from the given table is the increasing number of female employee during this period. As it is clearly seen that in 1851 male employees numbered as 287,100 whereas females were only 190,000. However, in 1901 male and female employees were 31,000 and 30,000 respectively showing female employees working as equally in number as men.
