The table below gives information about changes in modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where revelant.

The chart illustrates the information of transportation modes English people used to travel in 1985 and 2000.
For an overall perspective, it is evident that car is the most prefered mode in both 1985 and 2000, whereas a reserve patterns could be observedd in the figures of taxi.
According to the given table date, the main mode of travel among British people were walking,car,train, taxi and bus. Initially in 1985, the total travelled distance was more than 4000 miles. Among them, car was the most popular transport due to the amount of miles English travelled. In adition, over 200 miles travelled per person was the recorded number of walking and train. The local bus took the second place in the travelled mode of 1985 with 429 miles per person, In contrast, long distacne bus weren’t usually used by the English people while only have the same number of miles travelled with bicycle, with just only over 50 miles. Compared to the other transport with 450 miles, the taxi were not highly recommend by British people in 1985.
After 15 years, the total figures was increase by more than 6000 while the car keep its upward trend to have an average of travelled miles about nearly 5000. The amount miles of walking, bicycle and local bus were decrease while the total distance passed using long distance bus , train and other mode of transport incease in the year 2000
