The table compares the value of kiwi’s export from New Zealand to five different markets Japan, China, Mexico, Russia, and Saudi Arabia in a period of two years starting from 2010.
Overall, as can be seen from the table, the figure for the export of kiwi fruit from NZ to five countries witnessed an upward trend. Japan and China have the highest consumption of kiwi fruit while Saudi Arabia has the most insignificant consumption of this fruit.
In 2010, Japan had the highest number of exported kiwi from NZ at $271.000.000 and became the largest market. This is followed by this figure for China and Saudi Arabia, at $74.900.000 and $29.000.000, respectively. By contrast, the figure for export kiwi of Mexico and Russia was the lowest, at just around $1.000.000.
In the next two years, the export to Japan’s market remained unchanged an upward trend. This figure for Japan had increased significantly to $325.300.000 while there was about $20.000.000 value of kiwi fruit exported to China. Besides, the figure for export to Russia was two times higher than that in 2010, at $2.404.000 and the figure for Mexico halved to $3.300.000. In contrast, the exporting value of Saudi Arabia was dropped to $82.000 from a good start of $29.000.000 in 2010.
