The report shows the consumer durables owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983 illustrating durables and the percentage of households with these appliances.
Finding out that television, refrigerator and vacuum cleaner are the most commonly used appliances in Britain with approximately 95% among consumers and this returns to the early invention of these appliances as well their crucial importance in the house while video and dish washer are the least used ones with 18% for video and around only 4% for dishwasher as they are considered as a latest update of the electrical appliances recently invented.
Telephone and central heating also considered as a bulk among the English consumers with average 70% but we find that it was not common in 1972 with 39% but it has roughly increased reaching 70% in 1983 recording its highest.
Finally, the washing machine which recorded 66% in 1972 jumping to 75% 1978 then recoding its highest with 80% in 1983
