Essay topics:

The table illustrates the proportion of monthly household income that five European countries spend on food and drink, housing, clothing and entertainment.

The table demonstrates the rate of monthly domestic budget that five distinctive European regions allocate on refreshments and beverage, accommodation, costumes and recreational activities.

On the whole, it can be observed that the inhabitants in every region are inclined to spend almost all of their wages on sustenance and pay less attention to the rest categories. Additionally, costume the aspect with the least budget allocation except Turkey, as opposed to the housing aspect which is the most budget allocation.

Regarding the aspects that occupy the larger proportion of budget, Turkey has the highest budget allocation on refreshments and beverages, with the record at 36% and it is slightly higher than the second position, which is Spain, by 5%. Meanwhile, household expenditure on this category in England, France and Germany is about a quarter of their salary, with the figures ranging from 22% to 27%. Similarly, one third of the budgets of these three countries are spent on accommodation, with the figure being recorded at 31%, 33%, 37% correspondingly. Lastly, Spain is the lowest in this aspect, with the record being at 18%, which is lower than Turkey at 4th place by about 2%.

In terms of the categories that occupy less proportion than the two aforementioned aspects. To talk about clothing, it is the least paid aspect. Costumes is an additional category so the record for this aspect is not too significant. In three countries Germany, UK and Turkey, people pay a minority of their wage to buy clothes with the figures being recorded at 15%, 11%, 12% respectively. Meanwhile, the record for this aspects of the two remaining countries is not too high as well, France accounts for 8%, which is higher than Spain, by 1%. Coming to the recreational activities, it is not as important as clothing, so the data for this category is not too considerable as well. Germany and France are the two regions with higher budget allocation than the three rest countries with the record at 19% and 15% correspondingly. Meanwhile, household expenses on this aspect in France, UK, Turkey, with the figure ranging from 10%-13%
